Formally, the Poolside Sofa is reminiscent of an imposing pool float that glides with almost weightless ease over mirror-smooth water, transporting us to that relaxed state one achieves when indulging in the idleness of a lazy day by the water. The backrest, composed of two round upholstered bodies, enclosing the voluptuous springy seat, creates the impression of absolute softness on the one hand and reliable stability on the other.
The Jury‘s Statement
The "Poolside" sofa from Bretz is inspired by the typical voluminous design language of inflatable pool floats. This gives the sofa a pleasantly light and airy appearance and at the same time promises a particularly soft and comfortable seating experience.
