The remote was designed as a flexible platform, allowing the company to develop multiple fan-specific remotes using a common plastic tool with minimal investment. By changing just the front label & keypad, the company could cater for 20+ different remotes & their functionality, This enabled the company to customize for each model while retaining the same base structure. The key layout was created after analyzing all fan features, ensuring adaptability & intuitive use. A thick PVC sticker masks unused slots, improving tactile quality. Inspired by river-shaped pebbles, the form is organic, ergonomic, & distinctive.
