In the Old Courthouse of Klausen, a listed building at the town’s heart, two 45 m² apartments have been created. Beneath steeply pitched roofs and amidst historic beams, a precise and reduced spatial composition unfolds. Every square metre is thoughtfully utilised—even the space beneath the staircase accommodates a functional workspace. Maple and white fir, soft beige-grey and white surfaces convey calm, while black accents introduce subtle tension. Historic windows frame the city, new dormers open unexpected sightlines, and two loggias offer bright, intimate retreats. Here, history is preserved and extended with care and refined clarity.

Every corner is used effectively, creating a harmonious interplay of past and present. The distinctive sightlines and calm color palette give the living spaces a timeless elegance.
