The House of Diagonals:Tension and Balance

Located on a street corner, this residence was formed by maximizing the buildable mass within strict setback and height regulations. The interior design investigates how diagonal planes defining each volume can be integrated or removed to optimize spatial efficiency. Curves mitigate the structural tension of the diagonals, forming a coherent architectural language. Vertical diagonals and horizontal curves balance through indirect lighting, enhancing depth and height, while curved partitions link spaces to achieve continuity within compact boundaries.
