Makisu Liège

Drawing inspiration from Japan's Koinobori carp kites, our interior design project pays homage to the traditional bamboo sushi mat ('makisu') and echoes the playful waves of Koinobori. Driven by computational design, an organic wood envelope seeming like floating, a true spectacle of motion and an efficient, sustainable approach using sourced plain wood. Painted facets with unique motifs dance dynamically, engaging diners. The space is embraced by the calming acoustics of the wooden refuge.
