Details
The New Horizon Library is Poland's first public library fully inspired by the idea of a third place and a contemporary café. In designing NHL, we completely abandoned the traditional division into reading rooms, lending libraries, etc., and focused on creating a place where the life of the local community pulses, where new ideas are born, values important in a given environment are consolidated or evolve.
The Jury‘s Statement
The newly designed New Horizon Library boldly breaks the traditional division into reading rooms, libraries and café and instead creates a lively place that sympathetically unites everything and encourages people to linger and communicate. The approach is underlined by cheerful colors and various structures and shapes that create a homogeneous atmosphere.
