Details
Mood is a texture inspired by Mondrian's painting, characterised by parallel and perpendicular stripes, which create an interplay of shapes and different effects of opacity and gloss. The finish product is a melamine faced Ecological Panel, made of 100 % regenerated wood. The value it conveys is a reference to art as representative of universal harmony and balance between opposites. For this texture, Saviola designed a specific decor, inspired by Mondrian's operas, which constitute an "embossed in register" product, where the texture perfectly matches the underlying design. Standard format 5600x2120 mm, thick 8-40 mm, 680 kg/mc.
The Jury‘s Statement
The melamine-coated boards are characterised by their unique texture, which is inspired by Mondrian's art. The harmonious combination of opacity and lustre and the use of 100% reclaimed wood create a surface that is both aesthetically pleasing and ecologically responsible. ‘MOOD’ is a successful example of the combination of art and the sustainable use of materials.
