Despite integrated shielding, close-contact handling, such as extraction, still involves radiation exposure. Repeated exposure can lead to serious occupational illnesses and long-term health damage for radiology staff, as risk levels are determined by radiation intensity, clearance, and time. Two patented design features reduce contact, duration, and strain: a quick-locking lid for safe, fast access; and a multi-grip ergonomic handle that may increase clearance during transport and handling.
