Saaya — Mobile Veterinary Clinic

Saaya transforms a used pickup into a mobile veterinary clinic and rescue vehicle for India’s street dogs. Built locally for approximately €12,000, Gen 1 entered service in 2022 with ten kennels, a fold-down surgical table, awning and rear working deck. In its first four documented months, it rescued and sheltered 1,200 dogs, sterilised 1,800, vaccinated 2,500 and saved 150 critically injured animals. Field-informed, the unbuilt Gen 2 design adds larger divided kennels, an isolation cell, enclosed surgical bay, hand-washing, vaccine refrigeration, solar power and a shaded outreach stage.
