Details

Inspired by traditional Asian craftsmanship and adapted to the needs of today, the small teapot delights equally with its haptics and aesthetics. The reduced design and elegant matte-black colour are sure to make an impression. The design of the KEIZU teapot was derived from “Kyusu” – so-called traditional Japanese teapots, which are usually made of high-quality fired volcanic clay. The term “Kyusu” simply means “teapot” but is often used colloquially for teapots with a handle on the side. Originally from ancient China, they have found their way into Japanese culture over the centuries and are mainly used to prepare Japanese green tea.

The Jury‘s Statement

The teapot seamlessly merges traditional aesthetics with modern functionality, providing a harmonious experience for tea enthusiasts. The sensitive execution of form and the refined tactile quality make the »Teapot KEIZU« an outstanding example of successful product design in the tabletop sector.
