Ultra Rare Sarcoma – Ultra Rare Type

Ultra-rare sarcomas occur in 1:1,000,000 diagnoses, making them invisible. To create visibility, Ultra Rare Sarcoma e.V. developed a bespoke typeface: 'Ultra Rare Type'. It translates the yellow awareness ribbon into a modular typographic system using 'loop logic', mimicking the ribbon's twist. By turning the symbol into language, the message is embedded in every word. The high-contrast fluorescent yellow on dark backgrounds turns a passive symbol into a loud voice for a marginalized cause.
