Guiyang New Community Park

The designer’s main objective in this project is to preserve and emphasize the existing landscape character and highlight the local karst geography. The design showcases and integrates the annual flood events into the design, as well as traditional construction methods and elements. These elements create a strong sense of place. The building ensembles are designed in clean white shapes to contrast with the roughness of the karst plateau.
