Design that goes further – that’s what the German Design Awards 2026 are all about. From now on, designers, agencies, companies and architects from around the world can register their projects. Whether product, space, communication or service, what counts is excellent design that takes a stand. That is innovative, relevant, responsible.
Design in transition – transition through design
2026 is all about change. Technology, sustainability, society – design is right at the centre and driving progress. That’s exactly what the awards aim to spotlight. New categories such as “Circular Design”, “AI in Architecture and Metaverse” or “Service Design” bring the latest themes to the stage.
Why take part?
Because the German Design Awards are more than just a competition. They are a stage, a network, a platform for dialogue. Those who submit become part of a community that’s rethinking design across disciplines, markets and borders. An international jury evaluates all submissions with a focus on innovation, quality, context and impact.
Showtime in Frankfurt
The award show on 6 February 2026 is the big highlight: as part of World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026, designers from all over the world will come together. Winning here means making a statement and setting new standards.
