Captain’s House

Captain’s House

Description

In the Captain’s House, the damp and erosive nature of the sea caused the existing structure to be unsafe and major water leakage. We started with the structural reinforcement and added a layer of 12 cm concrete wall to the original brick masonry walls. The design strategies focus on the layout, “window furniture” system and vault, which bring us extra potential to make a better quality of space. We hope the house gradually becomes the bearer of emotion for the captain’s family.
