Vaco follows the archetypical table shape made by four legs and one top but the design, despite being linear and simple, brings two significant and radical innovations. The leg, having been doubled and empty out at the same time, loses its volumetric appearance as it becomes an elegant and almost graphic play on lines, giving a surprising lightness to the table look. The structure, protruding from the top, plays the leading role in the whole table design, embracing the top rather than just sustaining.
Statement of the jury
The sophisticated, graphical doubling of the support leg lends the table a characteristic elegance, making it a truly unique piece.
