Solitary Vase

Description

A vase that tries to show a part which is usually hidden. For this to be possible, the stone negative was removed, allowing it to show the transparent glass containing the water and supporting the flower, and resulting in a practical, light, simple and elegant vase.

Statement of the jury

The recess of the Solitary Vase lets the stem of the plant appear as if it were floating in the air. A lovely design that skilfully juxtaposes the concepts of “open” and “closed”,“concealed” and “visible”.
