Atriumhaus

Description

The Artriumhaus is a U-shaped, one-storey flat-roof house with almost 240 sqm of living space. Almost closed, the detached house looks outwards – with a few windows in a standing format. Upon entry, this effect reverses. Openness comes into focus here and determines the architecture. A complete glazing of the building at a height of up to 3 m gives a clear view of the unilaterally opened atrium and the green.

Statement of the jury

The high-quality furnished rooms are arranged in a U-shape around the inner courtyard in the single floor flat-roofed house. While the building looks more closed off from the rear, it opens up through huge floor-to-ceiling window fronts towards the inner courtyard, creating a special kind of living atmosphere. A beautiful and elegant solution.
