Description

This cinema design is deeply correlated with the scenes of the films. The designers use vertical and horizontal grid lines to draw each scene of the film set, as if reimagining the whole film right in front of the audience’s eyes. When one looks at the interior of the design, it’s as if the designers are using the design and drafting software application, Autocad 3D, to draw simple grid lines one by one until the draft of the design is completed.

Statement of the jury

The design for the cinema translates the theme of »film scenes« into a fascinating structure of horizontal and vertical lines intersecting at right angles, which, in conjunction with sophisticated lighting, lends the space its own unmistakable identity.
