Museo Villa Bernasconi

Description

Restoration of the Villa Bernasconi Museum (art nouveau villa built in 1905 – 1906 in Cernobbio, on Lake Como), to preserve and enhance the pre-existing artistic and architectural features with the implementation of contemporary integrations through a minimal design. A new idea of a museum that involves the visitor actively and emotionally, transforming him into a guest. All the furnishings and display machines were specially designed for the museum set-up.

Statement of the jury

The restoration was carried out with minimal impact on the historical architecture. The design of the exhibition was completed to a high creative standard and offers a variety of exhibits with original details that spark interest and curiosity.
