Description

With its seating concept that is as aesthetic as it is comfortable, Alvo reimagines the image of the chair. The stylish matt shell, into which a removable seat cushion with differently filled chambers is inserted, allows flexible use and relaxing sitting – even during longer dinner or round-table discussions. The choice of materials for the base includes wood and metal frames as well as a swivel plate base on which the seat shell appears to float.

Statement of the jury

The design of this modern chair retains its identity primarily through the thin plastic shell in connection with the integrated thick padding. The padding is a combination of seat and armrests and a somewhat higher backrest with a striking internal seam, which serves to divide the padding into separate visual areas. An interesting design, the appearance of which can be varied further using various underframes.
