Description

The world’s first completely recyclable pouch is made of a monomaterial (polyethylene) with a removable wrap-around label in accordance with the Cradle to Cradle® principle. 85% of all the packaging material is not printed and can therefore be recycled without any loss of quality. Because the remaining 15%, the printed label, is free of adhesives and bonding agents, it is also completely recyclable and can be put to new uses.

Statement of the jury

Sustainable and innovative: The first fully recyclable stand-up pouches in the world made from monomaterial (polyethylene) and with separable layers of colour. Of the materials used, 85% are recyclable without losing any of the level of quality. The remaining 15% are made up by the printed sleeve, which is free of adhesives and bonding agents and so can be put back into new uses.
