Ingeborg

Ingeborg

Description

The original »Ingeborg« chair was designed in 1940 by Flemming Lassen. It was upholstered in sheepskin or trendy textiles, such as brocade or velour, by master cabinetmaker Jakob Kjær, who manufactured most of Flemming Lassen’s furniture. In recent years, by Lassen has been working to recreate the beautiful chair based on sketches found in Lassen’s archive and detailed studies of the original from 1940.

Statement of the jury

With the re-edition of »Ingeborg«, an inviting and timelessly elegant armchair, which encloses the user with its wings and conveys a feeling of security, has once again become available on the furniture market.
