Book of Kells

Book of Kells

Description

The »Book of Kells« is one of the world's greatest medieval treasures placed in Trinity College Library by Bishop Henry Jones of Meath in 1661. For the first time, this invaluable 9th-century manuscript is displayed on a plinth in a tall freestanding showcase designed to facilitate the display of every single page in rotation while safeguarding the exquisite book. The visitor’s attention is fully captured by the display case’s central positioning in the Treasury Room at the Trinity College Library.
