Details

Thailand’s new Government Complex Building C is a sustainable civic landmark. Its design, inspired by reimagines traditional Thai communal life for a modern context, zoning the campus like a village centred on shared public spaces to foster connection. The traditional Pod Duang coin, features a central atrium uniting three wings. It reimagines offices as vertical villages for efficient agencies. It utilizes passive cooling, solar power, and local materials. Nearly half the site is green space, promoting biodiversity and cooling. The universally accessible design fosters community and embodies a vision of progressive, inclusive governance.

A centrally designed atrium unites three wings into an impressive ensemble, creating a distinctive sense of space. »Chaengwattana Government Complex C« reinterprets traditional forms and communal structures in a contemporary way. Sustainable materials, expansive green areas and universal accessibility combine aesthetics with social responsibility. This project excels in bringing together representative function, user well-being and environmental awareness at the highest level.
