Details

The GWH Headquarters in Kassel has been refurbished, featuring a three-dimensional facade system. The sand-coloured aluminium panels were designed using parametric planning methods. The cut-outs have been placed individually for all the panels to create and control the characteristic interplay of light and shadow. The refurbishment has been carried out in the light of the highest level of sustainability and cradle to cradle principles. A Photovoltaic system is integrated in the overall design and makes optimized use of the orientation of the facade. The subtle and unique design ensures a timeless character for the new GWH Headquarters. Photo credits: Stefan Schilling.
