Details
The building for Taiwan's Amis Matang tribe blends traditional culture with modern design. It incorporates the Amis colors - red, black, and white - and features an umbrella-shaped structure with raised corners, honoring deities and elders. A red steel triangular truss provides stability against earthquakes and typhoons, while three supports symbolize the tribe's age hierarchy. The floor displays sun and wave patterns, paying tribute to the gods and reflecting the tribe's connection to the sea, alongside totems representing the Amis and Matang tribes.
