This is a reconstruction plan for a hot spring facility that was burned down except for a small part due to a lightning strike. In response to the voices of local residents, we sought a way to build a facility that would avoid demolishing the existing foundations and piles, while assuming that construction would continue while temporary business would continue in the hot spring building that was undamaged. We aimed for a sustainable facility in a remote area, with the architecture helping to support self-sustaining operations by modifying the heating system and expanding programs to improve revenue.
