The SOS Children's Village in Altmünster, at almost 70 years old, is one of the oldest children's villages in the world. The new building was necessary to bring the buildings up to ecological and educational standards. During the village renewal project, a total of 11 buildings were constructed over two years in two construction phases. These meet various educational needs and are ecologically and economically sound, using the latest technology. A total of 18 trades and over 200 project participants ensured the successful completion of the construction project. The new SOS Children's Village can accommodate up to 100 children and teenagers.
