Details

The Black House was designed as a three-level steel structure with integrated wooden components. Operable facade elements open the building interiors toward their surroundings, resulting in a symbiotic relationship among nature and the built environment. The project forms part of the multi-award-winning No Footprint House (NFH), a modular building system that allows for a broad range of customized residential typologies. Climate-responsive designs in combination with industrial building techniques and regenerative construction materials create a high level of sustainable efficiency. The NFH is a systemic toolbox for sustainable construction.
