Wohnhaus MM37

The MM37 residential building responds to suburban infill development with a respectful urban design. The building is conceived as a monolith from which the façade has been carved—much like a stone sculptor. A defining element is the nine-meter-high perforated façade in the entrance hall. This transforms the stairwell into an atmospheric space and extends the material immaterially through natural light. The water-struck brick lends the house an almost shimmering presence.
