Details
The seven-storey office ensemble EDGE Suedkreuz Berlin was built entirely in sustainable modular timber hybrid construction. The larger of the two buildings is currently the largest timber hybrid building in Germany. The central eye-catchers in the atrium are the four tree-like structures with communication islands, graduated in height, which grow upwards under an ETFE foil roof. Wood is visibly present in all interior areas of the office complex, which is conceived as an open ecosystem.
