Details
In Millan, a town district of Brixen, a new residential complex has been built where the homonymous Götschele farmstead once stood. A key requirement for this project was the harmonious blending of the complex into its architectural environment. Götschele consists of two buildings, one facing west and the other south. The shapes of the surrounding buildings and rooftops are reflected in the reinterpreted gable roof, as well as in the honeycomb patterns that can be observed from both sides.
The Jury‘s Statement
The residential complex impresses with its successful integration into the existing architectural environment and the subtle incorporation of traditional architectural elements. The innovative reinterpretation of gable roof forms and the harmonious arrangement of the buildings create a coherent overall picture that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
