Hippolytushaus – Stadttor Troisdorf

The »Troisdorf City Gate« comprises two new buildings - a kindergarten and the parish centre - as well as the existing church and serves as an urban meeting point. Three large glazed "gates" open in a star shape to the new town square and enter into dialogue with the existing surroundings. The inviting gesture of the light-flooded rooms is supported by the anthracite-coloured floor. The facade of the parish centre continues as a wooden cladding in the interior. The green space between the kindergarten and the church building creates an attractive place to stay and forms a connecting point between the buildings, which assert themselves as a strong unit.
