Details
The primary idea unfolds at the intersection of various parallel investigations, all of which relate to the unique topology of the surrounding area, its orientation, the views, and to the distinct characteristic features of Cycladic homes such as their scale, density, and height. The aim of the design is not to create a monumental building complex, but to build an open system in which wellness is engrained in its philosophy, allowing light, breeze, greenery, and changing seasons to pass through it and become a part of the place.
The Jury‘s Statement
The holiday complex impresses with its ability to harmoniously integrate the natural elements of the surroundings. Through an open system, the concept of relaxation and well-being is realised in an innovative way. The ‘Slow Living Resort in Cyclades’ creates a connection between architecture and nature that respectfully interprets the Cycladic style.
