MAIN YARD is currently one of the most important project developments in downtown Frankfurt. Following Volume 1, which deals with the eventful history of the Allerheiligenviertel, Volume 2 brings together all aspects of the area's more recent history. Interviews with contemporary witnesses and exciting essays illuminate the background. One chapter is dedicated to the diverse interim uses such as pop-up events, music, culinary culture and art.
The Jury‘s Statement
The idea of publishing a three-part documentary on the eventful history of Frankfurt's newly developed MAIN YARD district is appealing. Volume 2 deals with the more recent history from the 1970s onwards and, like Volume 1, is convincing both in terms of content and the modern, visually powerful design. A special edition that makes you want to take a closer look at the district.
