Folke^® Modular Sofa System

A modular sofa system by Berlin-based designer Justus Hilfenhaus. It arrives vacuum packed, by parcel post rather than freight, in boxes that fit through any door, and each module is ready in under a minute. There are no connectors, no fixings, no tools: the modules rest freely on one another, and your own weight increases the friction that holds them. It is designed to come apart as easily as it goes together, so it moves house, changes shape or gives up its parts with nothing to unscrew. Covers in recycled polyester lift off and wash at 30 degrees, with OEKO-TEX and EU Ecolabel certification in progress.
