Details
The design for the wellness and conference hotel picks up on the regional history: near the Rose Island there were pile dwellings in 6000 B.C., which were even declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. Based on this, we developed an abstracted pile-dwelling settlement that staggers up the slope. A first row of pile dwelling huts for gastronomy rises above a base zone, shielding the wellness and conference areas behind it and visually hiding the actual hotel wing.
