Details

The Osu Salem Presbyterian School, a 19th-century timber-pitched building in Accra, Ghana, once anchored the Osu community but now stands in disrepair, lying vacant following years of occupancy as a place of excellence in education. This regeneration proposal will safeguard its historic character while introducing flexible new spaces like a multipurpose hall, library, archive, and alumni hall of fame. By restoring the original structure and repairing the collapsed roof and adobe walls, the project reimagines the school’s legacy and sets a precedent for heritage reuse in Accra — reflecting Osu’s cultural life and reinforcing its identity.
