P. Mondrian Tree House

P. Mondrian Tree House is an artist’s residence with separate living quarters for visiting artists and a multi-purpose studio on a sloping 10-acre parcel in the vicinity of a lake. The interplay amongst all the volumes, colors, and spaces brings suspense into the visualization, resulting in tension, attraction, and demand to each component. With harmony in mind, the corresponding arrangement of all the elements in response to the variation in sizes, color weights, and distances was determined.
