On a lakeside plot, a compact retreat takes shape. The design reinterprets the most elemental form of a house: an archetypal volume, precisely shaped through deliberate cuts and openings. Facing the lake, the house opens generously towards the landscape, while its almost entirely closed north-western façade ensures privacy. Black rammed concrete defines the character of the building – a craft technique rarely used today. Its layered, tactile texture gives the façade and roof a monolithic quality. The result is a precisely composed living environment: reduced in form and consistent down to the smallest detail.
