Details
The ‘Mafabane Village School’ Project is creating new access to education in rural Sierra Leone. The modular school, modelled on local, traditional, circular dwellings, will provide places for 266 children. The community is playing an active role in the sustainable construction, using locally produced mud bricks. A passive climate control system provides cooling in the hot climate. The project is funded by private donors, with the first phase of construction financed through crowdfunding.
