The Urban Sacred

Inspired by the spiral of nature and the Five Pillars of Islam, this central mosque unites spirituality, community and sustainability. The sweeping natural stone structure opens itself to the city – as an urban cultural and community center for everyone.
Light falls through the geodesic cone into the heart of the building, guiding visitors on a spiritual journey. Cradle-to-Cradle materials, photovoltaics and intelligent water management make it the mosque of the future.
