Details
In March 2023, the BLACK F TOWER opened with 54 apartments on 16 floors in Freiburg i. Br.. All apartments are fully furnished, and their design clearly sets them apart from standard hotel rooms. Great value is placed on a high-quality and apartment-like facility. The focus is on the topics of "conscious action and sustainability" from planning, construction and fit-out of the apartments to ongoing operation. The tower has, among other things, Germany's largest green facade.
The Jury‘s Statement
The fact that greening plays a central role in the sustainability concept of the BlackF Tower in Freiburg is not only evident from the large birch tree in the foyer, but is also impressively evident from the consistently greened facade. Here, around 50,000 evergreen plants bind 35 to 40 tons of CO2 all year round and also ensure a pleasant microclimate.
