Rauch/Holz® is a specialized carbonized wood crafted by Master Carpenter Thomas Rauch and his team in his workshop on the island of Usedom. Sourced responsibly from local forests in northern Germany, our wood undergoes a very careful carbonization process that transforms it with a deep black finish, significantly enhancing its aesthetic appeal while ensuring durability and weather resistance, among many other benefits. We offer architects, designers, builders and homeowners an ecologically conscious material that seamlessly merges tradition with contemporary design.
