ATHD stages the world of fire mountains on 1500 sqm. Volcanic eruptions are very dangerous, but at the same time breathtaking natural spectacles. Life on earth would not be possible without volcanoes, and they played a central role in the development of the earth's history. The architecture was planned with a very complex modular principle. The museum has planned follow-up exhibitions with the modules. The individual modules can be combined in any way and adapt to any room situation.
The Jury‘s Statement
The successful mixture of information boards, pictures, spectacular projections, original mechanical installations and real lava rock makes the topic of volcanoes tangible with all senses. A fascinating exhibition that is also didactically convincing.
