Inspired by the cult film Zardoz, a radical design approach emerged, creating an interior far beyond the conventions of a traditional gelato shop. At its core stands a brutalist-modernist counter made of strawberry-hued rammed concrete – raw, sculptural, timeless. Surrounded by seating islands crafted from solid, pigmented ash wood, the space oscillates between past and future. The café becomes an atmospheric stage where material, form, and colour create an immersive experience – a timeless continuum that connects the enjoyment of gelato with an archaic depth.

Raw, characterful and at the same time surprisingly elegant, the strawberry-hued rammed concrete counter of »Early Bird« becomes an iconic focal point. The precisely composed arrangement of solid ash wood seating islands creates an impressive atmosphere between past and future. Especially noteworthy is the harmonious interplay of materiality, colour and form, enabling an immersive spatial experience and exemplifying the outstanding design relevance in this field.
