Details

At Walter-Benjamin-Platz in Berlin, a 370 m² office for BayernLB and LB ImmoWert was transformed from dark corridors and closed rooms into a light-filled, contemporary workplace. The new design shifts from conventional layouts to an open concept that fosters communication, flexibility, and well-being. Based on workshops with staff, the concept integrates 14 fixed workstations alongside diverse zones for collaboration, focus, and informal exchange. Refined materials, balanced acoustics and lighting, and custom design elements create an inspiring atmosphere that combines representativeness with future-orientated ways of working.

The Jury‘s Statement

A fascinatingly open spatial structure allows light, interaction and retreat to merge subtly in »LBImmoWert + BayernLB«. The harmonious colour and material concept creates an inviting atmosphere, with acoustic and functional details elegantly coordinated. In its execution, the project impresses with precise built-in elements and an identity-shaping character that stands as a prime example of outstanding interior architecture in the public realm.
