Details

A new perspective on medical architecture. The building of the former Granary (garrison building) has been adapted to become the new headquarters of a dental clinic. The existing shell remained, and the interior is completely new: 15 dental offices, and a prosthetic laboratory. The clinic is based on the idea that patients wouldn't feel like they were in a medical facility, but rather in a hotel lobby. The rooms are arranged around the centre, which is a three-story high foyer. The whole space is connected by a spiral staircase located in the heart of the clinic.

The Jury‘s Statement

The conversion of a former garrison building into a dental practice combines the historic building with modern design to create an elegant ambience. The open-plan design with a central, light-flooded foyer and the user-friendly arrangement of the surgeries offers both medical staff and patients a welcoming and comfortable experience and creates a feeling of well-being.
