Details

This model is reminiscent of the golden era of Art Deco. The first wrist chronographs were also created during this period. These watches are distinguished by their gold appliqués. The hands for the permanent time display are gold, while the hands for the stopwatch display are made of flame-blued steel. The inner ring is the stop-second scale. The outer ring of the dial features a tachymeter scale for measuring speed. The goal was to create a watch that does justice to historical models, yet whose implementation is so perfect that it even exceeds today's requirements.

The Jury‘s Statement

The sophisticated combination of gold appliqués and flame-blued hands lends »Tourby Art Deco Chrono 40« a charismatic yet subtle presence. The dial impresses with clearly structured rings and expressive typography. Its execution demonstrates an impressive sense for historical references and aesthetic precision, setting a particularly high standard of enduring value and elegance in this class.
