Degenerative retinal diseases lead to progressive vision loss and are the most common cause of blindness in working-age adults. OkuStim translates a complex therapy – transcorneal electrical stimulation – into a self-administered treatment for people with visual impairment. The headset combines the neurostimulator with adjustable swivel arms for precise placement of electrode filaments on the cornea. The individual electrode blisters serve to guide magnetic attachment. The smooth swivel motion toward the eye ensures safe and comfortable use – design as a key to therapy adherence.

The consistently user-centered design of »OkuStim« enables people with visual impairments to safely and comfortably self-administer a complex therapy. Precisely adjustable swivel units, intuitive electrode guidance, and the ergonomic headset combine to create a harmonious whole. Especially impressive is the sensitive balance of functionality and aesthetics, which, in an outstanding manner, makes everyday life easier for patients.
